Puducherry Smart City Development (PSCDL) has proposed to launch a series of development projects worth Rs 300 crore
The government agency has proposed to award the projects to the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) (India). The agency entered a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the corporation
The government has proposed to develop and improve Goubert Market, spread over 2.9 acre of land parcel, with an additional commercial space of 50,000 sq ft including a multi-level car parking under economy and trade sectors and establish a smart integrated bus terminus on 4.5 acre with a 25,000 sq ft commercial space and an intracity bus terminus on the East Coast Road under the transport sector
The government has also proposed to improve the botanical gardens, refurbish the Swadeshi Mill and promote eco-tourism activities within the urban forest on its premises, rehabilitate and beautify three km-stretch of the Grand Canal with pedestrian pathways, cycle tracks and set up street furniture and food and beverages spots
